Anderson Reflects on Swearing-In
Today I am proud to have been sworn-in to represent the 36th District in the Illinois State Senate. Spanning from Savanna to Sterling and Rock Island, the 36th District includes portions of Rock Island, Whiteside, Carroll, and Henry Counties. It is a diverse district with everything from farmland to manufacturing, a military installation and institutions of higher education. I look forward to working with each and every one of you to represent the interests of our district.
As the 99th General Assembly begins, new members have been sworn in to the Illinois Senate and Illinois House. A new Governor, Lt. Governor, Treasurer, and Comptroller have also taken office. While we have different views on many issues, we all have one thing in common - we have sworn a solemn oath to serve the people of the State of Illinois.
In the coming months and years, we will have to make some tough decisions if we want our state to be strong for future generations. It’s no secret that Illinois is in rough shape, but we have an amazing opportunity before us for a new era of bipartisanship in state government.
As I take office, your input will be vital to the work I do. Please contact me, or my office with questions or concerns you may have. Make sure your voice is heard in Springfield!
