Calling all kids! Anderson, McCombie hosting free Children’s Safety Expo in East Moline
State Sen. Neil Anderson and State Rep. Tony McCombie are inviting children and their families to their free Children’s Safety Expo Saturday, September 8 at Glenview Middle School (3100 7th St.) in East Moline from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Children will be able to see their favorite vehicles up-close and climb inside with a Touch a Truck experience. This includes a helicopter, ambulance, fire truck, police car, combine, garbage truck, bucket truck, street sweeper, and more.
Demonstrations include Dance Connection at 9:30 a.m., East Moline Police K-9 at 10:00 a.m., All Family ATA Taekwondo at 10:30 a.m., and the drawing for giveaways at noon.
Other activities include face painting, library card sign-up, CPR demonstrations, daycare information, and more. Admission, refreshments, and giveaways are all free.
